About Kirtan Lounge
Kirtan Lounge started as a dreamy experiment when Gopi Kallayil and Ananta Govinda decided to collaborate on performing and producing music for meditation and mindfulness and make it a love offering to the yoga community and world music lovers. Creating the first album became an exciting journey and labor of love that spanned seven countries and three years. Precious Jewels is the collective effort of many talented musicians who shared their artistic gifts in this project.
This 2017 release Precious Jewels, been submitted for World Music and Special Packaging Grammy consideration, accompanied with a limited-edition vinyl package enhanced with the latest iBeacon and EddyStone technology. This portable beacon card–the size of a credit card–allows fans to download and stream exclusive content, get personalized check-in at events and much more.
Events
The event celebrated the release of the special edition vinyl album of Kirtan Lounge Precious Jewels. Under a 360 degree projection dome called the Vortex Immersive Media, an oasis of technology in downtown LA Center Studios, the expressive performances were full of learning spiritual experiences: yoga of sound, interactive workshop, media performances and vegetarian dinner!
